Florian Dibra, MD graduated with honors from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania. Soon after, he received his medical degree, with cum laude honors from the esteemed Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his orthopedic surgery training at the University of Florida. During this time, he was presented with world renowned techniques and worked with mentors hailing from exemplary backgrounds, including Mayo Clinic and Massachusetts General Hospital in association with Harvard Medical School. In his last year of residency, he was awarded the Chief Resident Best Research Award for his laudable performance, as well as the 2019 Knee Arthroplasty Game Changer Award at the International Congress for Joint Reconstruction South Hip and Knee Course. He continued at the University of Florida Health Hospital to complete his fellowship in Adult Arthroplasty with an emphasis in hip and knee reconstruction.

Dr. Dibra has an extensive research background and several publications, book chapters, and poster presentations. This includes a number of articles in Journal of Arthroplasty andArthroplasty Today discussing certain correlations between hip arthritis and knee pain as well as other relevant issues in hip reconstruction.

While he is also licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Dr. Dibra left the Sunshine State to join Orthopedic Institute of North Texas (OINT) in September of 2020. He practices orthopedics in the Frisco and Farmers Branch locations in Texas. Dr. Dibra provides extensive knowledge in hip and knee orthopedics. He treats operative and non-operative hip and knee arthritis, which includes osteoarthritis and inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid. He specializes in minimally invasive total hip and knee replacement, anterior hip replacement, partial hip and knee replacement, robotic hip and knee replacement, and complex revision hip and knee replacement.

Dr. Dibra’s family consists of his wife and two children. In addition to English, he is fluent in Albanian and Italian, and proficient in Spanish. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, traveling, and cooking.
